How long does it take to make the lasts and shoes?

The process can take up to 5 months from measuring to collecting your finished footwear, this time frame can change depending on the style of footwear, complexity of the feet and due to any additional fittings that may be needed.

Do you pay for the lasts and footwear all in one payment?

No, we will ask you to pay for the total cost of the lasts and footwear over the period of the creation of your footwear. After your initial appointment we will ask you to pay for your Lasts. After each appointment we will ask you to pay an interim payment, at the completion stage we will ask you to pay the outstanding balance.

What are the shoes made from?

Our footwear is made from various types of specialist leathers, depending on its part within the footwear, we also use latex and memory foams for cushions and inserts, other specialist synthetic materials depending on the style and functionality of the footwear, as well as various EVA and rubber material?

What is EVA?

EVA stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and is a synthetic material used for microcellular soling and adhesives. It is a co-polymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate.

Where are you based?

Our small and unique workshops are based in the beautiful surroundings of the Cotswolds, near Moreton-in-Marsh, accessible by both car and train. Alternatively we have a appointment only clinic in London, every other Thursday you can find us at Grey Flannel, Chiltern Street. We recommend you call us at the workshop to discuss where you think you might wish to see us for your appointment.

Do you offer a postal service?

We are unable to offer a postal service to have footwear created initially, due to the nature of the way we gather our vital measurements and information, we need to see you in the footwear in order to problem solve any last or footwear fitting issues. However once we have completed successful lasts and footwear, we are able to offer a service of re-ordering via the post.
