These smart formal shoes based on a classic Blucher brogue, are made with premium Box Calf leather, featuring Rich Burgundy lining and sleek Black leather welts. They have an extended wing tip, decorative perforations, and gimped edges. The laced Derby design, combined with classic brogue details, makes them perfect for occasions requiring a smart look.

Specialist design features

These shoes were made for a gentleman with chronic neuropathic pain, degenerative osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and related issues. He uses an AFO (Ankle Foot Orthosis) on his left foot and leg and is prescribed rigid orthotics for both feet. The orthotics and AFO treat the biomechanical elements but cause a slight imbalance due to leg length discrepancy. The footwear we created helps to balance these differences and accommodates the orthotics and orthosis, ensuring they are strong and function properly.  The design was based on an old favourite that had served him well before his injuries and he said “they are so well made the casual observer would have no idea that they are designed to fit around my custom orthotics”.  His day-to-day footwear is adapted, but finding formal shoes that offer the necessary adjustments was difficult.
